The Member of Parliament for Adaklu, who is also the parliamentary candidate Kwame Governs Agbodza, challenged his Campaign Team to work directly with voters at the branch level for “total victory with unprecedented margin” for the NDC.
According to him, “the actual work is on the ground, the work is at the branches, and elections are won at the branches”, as he inaugurated and Launched a 24-member constituency campaign team at Adaklu-Tsriefe to lead this year’s campaign for him.
Mr. Agbodza used the platform to outline some major projects the NDC government has done in Adaklu. He told the gathering that, the five districts water project was initiated since 2015, plants were installed and most parts of central Tongu District is benefiting from the project.
“Even in Adaklu, Ahunda Boso through their own efforts and Adaklu Avedzi are beneficiaries of the five districts water project,”
In a brief ceremony, the constituency chairman, Samuel Atormy Dorfe, congratulate all team members and appealed to them to work hard to secure victory for the party in this year’s general elections.
Joseph Amenorwode, former MP for Afadzato South and Volta regional minister, who is also the regional Team leader, inducted the campaign team members into office.
He urged them to frequently visit the branches as well as the communities from time to time. “Members must visit a community once in a week to tell the people what the NDC has done and what it will do if given another opportunity”,
He again entreated the members to work in unity with all persons, most especially the branch executives “since we cannot win this battle without unity” …… “You need to work extra hard, because, this year’s election is not only to win power from the NPP, but to win power and repair the damages the NPP has caused to mother Ghana”.
The former regional minister, presented an HP laptop, posters of John Dramani Mahama and a printer to the constituency election directorate. He asked the constituency campaign team members to make good use of the materials since they cannot win 2020 election without well-equiped office of the election directorate.
