Loyal customers of Shell Ghana to be rewarded for the patronage of every Shell branded product or services with a wide array of gifts through an innovative mechanism known as Shell Club Loyalty programme.
The programme is designed to shower loyal Customers with gifts and amazing experiences by accumulating points every time they buy fuel, lubricants or items from over 100 Shell shops scattered across the country.
Vivo Energy, the distributors and marketers of Shell branded products and services have taken the initiative to share value with all motorists all year round any time they buy from Shell service stations.
The programme which was launched by the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Mr. Ben Hassan Ouattara during a media engagement and cocktail on Thursday, October 3, 2019, promises to give more value to customers anytime they buy from Shell.
Interacting with a selected group of media persons at the evening programme at the La Villa Boutique Hotel in Accra, the Managing Director indicated that the move was a very innovative way of reinforcing the company’s appreciation to their loyal customers in a way that is very characteristic of Vivo Energy which is known for its innovation in leadership in the industry.
He emphasized the point that it was the first time an Oil Marketing Company (OMC) in the country has introduced such a comprehensive loyalty programme onto the market. Adding that, for many years in the downstream petroleum industry, the company has been the leader in innovation and customer service.
“We appreciate the loyalty of our customers over the years and believe there is no better time than now to celebrate them by giving them more, any time they buy from Shell service stations,” he said.
According to him, the Shell Club Loyalty programme is not only an all year round programme which cost nothing to own a Club Membership Card, but also creates moments of happiness for all category of motorists and customers each time they visit a Shell facility.
“It is a programme which will run full year. So it is different, it is not a promotion. This will become our way of rewarding our customers. If you are a member of this club, you get to choose whatever gifts you want from our wide range of gifts from our website after accumulating points from every purchase,” he noted.
The gifts range from shopping vouchers, meal and air time vouchers, entertainment offers, hampers, health and insurance packages for commercial drivers among many other gifts.
To be eligible for the gifts, customers would have to be signed onto the programme through their mobile number details in order to be keyed into the system for every purchase across the country to be adequately tracked and appropriately rewarded.
Explaining the concept of the programme to the media in an interview, the Marketing Manager for Vivo Energy, Jerry Boachie Danquah indicated that for one to join the Shell Club, one would have to visit Shell Service Stations across the country to sign-on with just his cell phone number.
According to him, customers will then be given their Shell Club loyalty card and a tag. Club members will be asked to either complete their registration through the Shell Africa App, the website or through the dedicated call center.
At the completion of the registration, customers are automatically credited with 500 points for a start to begin enjoying their free gifts.
