Amina Ali Idriss, Vice-Chairperson of the Pan-African Parliament\u2019s Committee on Transport, Industry, Communications, Energy, Science, and Technology, decried the persistent gap between the existence of robust legal frameworks \u2014 such as CEDAW, the African Charter on Human and Peoples\u2019 Rights, and the Maputo Protocol \u2014 and their lack of effective implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfrica\u2019s commitments will only make sense if we succeed in transforming declarations into visible results in the daily lives of African women,\u201d Hon. Idriss stressed.
