Following what seem to be a confusion MultiChoice Ghana has moved to clear the air after huge public backlash over its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the new DStv value offering, which created the impression of contradictions in the policy announced at a joint press conference with government and regulators.
In a statement issued today, October 1, 2025, the pay-TV operator admitted the FAQs caused confusion and apologised for the inconvenience.
“We fully support the joint media statement that was issued by the Honourable Minister, Hon Samuel Nartey George and implementation of same has already commenced. As contained in the said joint media statement regarding the value offering, the Committee will reconvene in three (3) months to evaluate the impact of this initiative. This will be a periodic exercise.”
MultiChoice Ghana stressed that there is no restriction on a subscriber’s choice of bouquet, with the offer available to existing, returning, and new customers effective 1 October 2025.
This comes after confusion among customers and media reports suggesting a contradiction between a government statement by Minister of Communication, Samuel Nartey George, and a new three-month DStv promotion running from 1 October to 31 December 2025.
